Company Structure & History

Greg Kaias founded ABCOR Pty Ltd trading as Preston General Engineering (PGE) in 1971, in the Melbourne suburb of Preston. PGE quickly built a reputation for delivering quality products on time and it was in these early years that PGE became a key supplier to Kenworth Trucks, supplying air tank brackets and steel bull bars.

Greg's sons James and John joined the business and collaboratively worked together to help the business grow and succeed. In the early 1990's they had outgrown their original site in Preston and thus moved to a new greenfield site in Campbellfield.

In 2009 ABCOR purchased the manufacturing equipment and intellectual property of Bocars Trucks bumper and bull bar division. This acquisition gave ABCOR an increased capacity and capability to deliver services to their customers.

ABCOR Pty Ltd acquired Frontline in late 2010 which is an engineering based company that supplies automotive and defence products. The groups total employee number is 240 full time staff and is continuously growing, spread across three manufacuring sites totalling 26,000 sq/m.
